MamaSphere ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (via Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email/password).

Health & Tracking Data: Data you voluntarily enter including but not limited to: menstrual cycle data, pregnancy information, baby health metrics (weight, feeding, diapers, sleep), vitals (blood pressure, heart rate), mood, nutrition, supplements, and medical conditions.

Medical Reports: If you upload medical reports for AI analysis, the report images are stored securely in Firebase Storage and processed by Google's Gemini AI.

Usage Data: We collect analytics data about how you use the app (screens visited, features used, subscription status) through Firebase Analytics.

Device Information: Device type, operating system, and push notification tokens for sending reminders.

How We Use Your Information

To provide personalized health tracking and insights based on your journey (TTC, pregnancy, postpartum)
To power AI features including the health assistant chat, report analysis, and personalized recommendations
To match you with relevant community groups based on your conditions and journey
To send reminders, notifications, and alerts you have configured
To generate doctor reports summarizing your tracked data
To display relevant product recommendations
To improve our app and services through anonymous analytics

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Authentication). All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest. Profile photos are stored locally on your device only.

Third-Party AI Services & Data Sharing

MamaSphere uses third-party AI services to power certain features. Before any data is sent to AI services, the app explicitly asks for your consent. You may decline, in which case AI-powered features will not be available.

Google Gemini AI (Google LLC)

The following data is sent to Google Gemini AI for processing:

AI Health Assistant: Your chat messages, journey type (TTC/Pregnancy/Postpartum), and basic health context (pregnancy week, baby age, health conditions)
Medical Report Analysis: Uploaded report images or PDF files
Future Baby Photos: Uploaded parent or baby photos are analyzed to generate text descriptions of predicted baby appearance
Daily & Weekly Insights: Your tracked health data (vitals, mood, nutrition, feeding logs) to generate personalized insights
Doctor Report Generation: Your health tracking data to generate comprehensive PDF reports

Google Gemini AI processes this data to generate responses and does not use it to train AI models. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Gemini: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Pollinations AI

Used solely for generating baby photo images from text descriptions. No personal data, photos, or health information is sent to Pollinations — only AI-generated text descriptions of predicted baby features.

Other Third-Party Services

Firebase (Google): Authentication, data storage, analytics, cloud functions, push notifications. All data encrypted in transit and at rest.
Google AdMob: Displays advertisements to Free and Premium tier users. Premium+ subscribers see no ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad personalization per Google's ad policies.
Amazon Affiliate: Product recommendation links direct you to Amazon. We earn a commission on purchases. No personal data is shared with Amazon through these links.
Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Process in-app subscription purchases. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple/Google and never reaches our servers.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your health data is never shared with advertisers. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above for the specific purposes described. Anonymous, aggregated analytics may be used to improve our services.

Your Rights

Access: View all your data within the app at any time
Delete: Delete your entire account and all associated data from Settings > Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data from our servers.
Portability: Generate a comprehensive PDF report of all your tracked data via the Doctor Report feature

Children's Privacy

MamaSphere is not intended for use by children under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Medical Disclaimer

MamaSphere provides health tracking and AI-powered guidance for informational purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment, or advice. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical decisions.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or email.
