MamaSphere — Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using MamaSphere ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Description of Service
MamaSphere is a maternal health companion app that provides health tracking, AI-powered insights, community support, and medical report analysis for users on their journey through trying to conceive (TTC), pregnancy, and postpartum care.
2. Medical Disclaimer
MamaSphere is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
All health information, AI-generated insights, report analysis, and recommendations in the App are for informational and educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always seek the advice of your physician, obstetrician, midwife, or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information provided by this App.
In case of a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.
3. AI-Powered Features & Third-Party Data Sharing
MamaSphere uses artificial intelligence to provide personalized health guidance. By using AI features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
3.1 What Data Is Shared
- AI Health Assistant (Chat): Your chat messages, journey type (TTC/Pregnancy/Postpartum), and basic health context (e.g., pregnancy week, baby age) are sent to Google Gemini AI to generate responses.
- Medical Report Analysis: When you upload medical reports for AI analysis, the report images or PDF files are sent to Google Gemini AI for processing.
- Future Baby / Grow-Up Photos: Uploaded parent or baby photos are analyzed by Google Gemini AI to generate descriptions. Pollinations AI generates the resulting baby image.
- Daily & Weekly Insights: Your tracked health data (vitals, mood, nutrition, feeding logs) is sent to Google Gemini AI to generate personalized insights and recommendations.
3.2 Who Receives Your Data
- Google Gemini AI (operated by Google LLC) — processes chat messages, report analysis, photo descriptions, and health insights.
- Pollinations AI — generates baby photo images based on text descriptions (no personal data is sent, only AI-generated text descriptions).
- Firebase (operated by Google LLC) — stores your account data, health logs, chat history, and reports securely.
- Google AdMob — displays advertisements to Free and Premium tier users. Ad-free for Premium+ subscribers.
3.3 How Your Data Is Protected
- All data is transmitted over encrypted (TLS) connections.
- Your data is not used to train AI models.
- Your data is not sold to third parties.
- You can delete all your data at any time from Settings > Delete Account.
3.4 Consent
The App will ask for your explicit consent before sending any personal data to AI services. You may decline, in which case AI-powered features will not be available.
4. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions
MamaSphere offers the following auto-renewable subscription plans:
- Premium — Monthly subscription providing expanded report storage (15/month), 50 AI messages per day, unlimited community posts, and 3 Future Baby photos per month.
- Premium+ — Monthly subscription providing 35 report storage/month, 200 AI messages per day, priority community support, 10 Future Baby photos per month, and an ad-free experience.
4.1 Billing & Renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
4.2 Free Trial
- If offered, free trial periods automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
4.3 Managing & Cancelling Subscriptions
- iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > MamaSphere > Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & Subscriptions > MamaSphere > Cancel
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to premium features until then. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
5. User Accounts
- You may create an account using Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, email/password, or continue as a guest.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. The App is designed for adults (expectant and new parents).
6. Community Guidelines
When using MamaSphere's community features, you agree to:
- Be respectful and supportive of other users.
- Not post harmful, abusive, harassing, or misleading content.
- Not share personal medical information of others without consent.
- Not promote products, services, or spam.
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.
7. Health Information Sources
Health articles and educational content in MamaSphere are based on information from recognized medical organizations including:
- American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG)
- World Health Organization (WHO)
- American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
- National Health Service (NHS UK)
- Mayo Clinic
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
Source citations are provided with each article. AI-generated content is clearly labeled as such.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and features of MamaSphere are the property of MamaSphere and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MamaSphere and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
10. Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by going to Profile > Settings > Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data including health logs, reports, chat history, community posts, and personal information.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
